How light affects sleep
Did you know the colour hues from the sunset, orange and red, prepare us for sleep. Whilst the blue light that occurs at sunrise and early morning wakes us up and prepares us for the day. These light changes are incredibly important in regulating our sleep/wake cycle (circadian rhythm). Animals do it naturally and we used to be very in tune with it before the invention of artificial light. Our phones and screens give off blue light which stimulates us to wake up, which is why its best to avoid this at least 1 hour before bed. Try watching a sunset and see how you sleep, and how relaxed you feel. It will make a huge impact on your health.
