Vitamin D

Vitamin D is made by exposing the skin to sunlight. This needs to be from direct sunlight onto 50% of the skin for 20 minutes per day. Most people living in the UK do not get anywhere near this amount of sun exposure and therefore most of us are Vitamin D deficient. Vitamin D deficiency is being linked to many inflammatory diseases, chronic conditions and allergies. It is used in just about every cellular activity. I work with clients on assesing their Vitamin D status and assisting them on how to to get the correct amount. This Vitamin is crucial for many functions including bone health to immune regulation.
